Repair a run in berber carpet

If you look closely at the run in your berber carpet, you will notice little spots of hard glue at the bottom of every loop that has pulled loose.

To repair the carpet, all you have to do is hot glue the berber loops onto the carpet backing (duplicating the original)

put a 1/2 inch long bead of hot glue into the very end of the channel in your carpet that was vacated by the pull.

Tuck a few of the loops (from the pulled carpet) back into the glue filled channel being careful to orient the fibers the way they were before being pulled (look for the hard glue spots from the original manufacturing process)

allow hot glue to cool and harden after every two or three loops, then extend the glue bead, extend the repair, and repeat until finished.
